Below is Part Two of our conversation with David Barboza.
To reiterate:
David began his career as an intern at The New York Times. He worked his way up, emerging as one of the paper’s very best business reporters/foreign correspondents. From 2004-2012, he was The Times’ Shanghai Bureau Chief. A few years later, he left The Times and co-founded The Wire Digital, Inc.
The Wire Digital is a New York-based news and data platform focused on China and global supply chains. It consists of a digital weekly news magazine, called The Wire China, and a data and software analytics platform named WireScreen. We talked about his company in Part One of this four-part podcast.
Over the course of his journalistic career, David has won two Pulitzer Prizes, one Polk Award, and produced or helped produce some truly extraordinary reports on how business and finance works in China.
In this episode, we talked about China’s extraordinary rise to superpower status.
