A decade or so ago, Richard Haass published a book entitled “A World in Disarray.” It was generally well-received but scolded for being too pessimistic about the future. Turns out the book was too optimistic about the future.
So we started our conversation with an update: A world in disarray, 11 years later.
We also talked about a number of the other major “stories” of 2025, including (inevitably) the “AI bubble”, the need for Pentagon 2.0, the perils of brain drain, the rise of casino culture, and two women to watch in the sports world.
