Joe and I did a Zoom call yesterday morning to discuss the ongoing meltdown of President Biden’s re-election campaign. The notion that he can “serve effectively as president” for another four years is no longer tenable. He can’t.
As a result, his candidacy hangs by a thread. Neither Joe nor I think it will hang on much longer.
You can listen in by clicking on the arrow below (to the right). It’s a “rough cut.” A bit choppy, as they say, here and there. But we wanted to get it out quickly. Events are in the saddle and riding fast.
P.S.: Congratulations to our producer, Mano Sundaresan, who has been named "head of editorial content” at Pitchfork magazine. Anna Wintour made a smart choice.
We’re now in the market for a new podcast producer. If you have an idea or suggestion about who might be a good candidate to take Mano’s place, please let me know. My business email address is jellis41@protonmail.com. Thank you.
Klein says Trump always treats him like he's dumb, and the Biden team has been doing it for the last week. The last week??
Rivals for the nomination in 2020 were pointing out Biden's mental decline then. As Ellis politely pointed out, it was obvious from videos comparing the Biden of 2008/2012 to the Biden of 2020 even then.
Almost all of the 'news' media have been treating the decreasing number of Americans who still read or listen to them like we were dumb, and all of a sudden noticing his decline is not going to repair the damage you have done to your reputation.
