News Items for subscribers is emailed first thing and includes the full menu of items and quick links for the day. News Items for the cheapskates known as “free signups” get a much abridged version, a bit later. The hope is that the “free signups” will convert to the subscription product.

This morning, you inadvertently got both versions.
