Jane Metcalfe saw the future.
Twice.
In the 1990s, she co-founded Wired magazine (and Wired Ventures), the magazine of the digital revolution. More recently, she founded neo.life (now called proto.life), the weekly newsletter of the neo-biological revolution.
Jane currently serves as the chairwoman of the Human Immunome Project, a global non-profit working to decode the immune system in order to transform how we prevent, diagnose, and treat disease. She is also co-chair of the Futures Council of the Focused Ultrasound Foundation and advises various startups.
(Conversation with Jane Metcalfe, Part 2)
Part Two of this two-part podcast focuses on the neo-biological revolution, where life sciences and artificial intelligence make it possible to engineer the evolution of all living things, including ourselves. That’s the big picture. The specifics are astonishing.
You can listen to Part One of our conversation with Jane by clicking on this link.
Both episodes are available on Apple, Amazon, Spotify, and, I’m told, other podcast platforms.
